Hong Er is my best friend.  My name is Hua Hua.  I live with my grandparents in Taipei. My parents work in the UK. My father is an engineer and my mother is a Chinese teacher. My young brother is living with my parents.  So, at present, I share most of my time with my grandparents and Hong Er.     Hong Er lives with her parents, just next door to my grandparents’ house. Hong er and I go to school together. She is 7 years. She is  older than me and taller than me. I am much smaller than her. She is like my big sister to me. She is very kind to me.   One day, I got injured because of falling down from the ladder. She came into and comforted me:   She said, “ Are you alright ?”   I replied to her,” No,  very painful!“   She asked, “ Why?  Where do you feel painful? Here or there? What happened to you?”   I pointed at my ankle which had bruises, and said to her,” I climbed up to the ladder and fell down carelessly.  ”   “·Oh, oh, oh, you have been very naughty”, she said.   That day she companied with me until her parents asked her to have her dinner that night. She is my good older sister and friend. Hong er keeps me company. I am very lucky to have her around. Her company makes my life so interesting.   She has a round face, two cute apple cheeks with short curvy hairstyle.  When she laughs, her front teeth all expose out. She always makes me laugh, indeed. She is very cute .   She likes shopping. She always knows how to get a good deal! One day, we went out to the day market with her parents. Her parents are very open-minded with us. They let us to buy what we liked for that shopping.   Hong er and I saw a toy shop. There were a lot of Japanese fortune cats. Wow , they were so cute. Hong er ran to the shopkeeper, and asked, “ how much is that fat red cat?”.     “ It is 5 NT dollars.”, said the shopkeeper. “ Oh, too expensive.  Can you give me a cheaper price? I only have 4 NT dollar with me. Please, please, please.” Said hong er. ‘Er, er, er, let me think .” said the shopkeeper. “ Ok, then, give you  a special discount, 4 NT dollar.” We jumped up and down and yelled, “ Wow, wow, wow, thank you very much!”     More to say, She loves pets, especially, dogs.   She has got 2 dogs: one is called “Dou Dou”; one is called “Rou Rou”.   s Dou Dou is a fast runner, which is as fast as the wind; Rou Rou likes its food very much, so she is very fatty.   One day, we played with her dogs together. She suddenly started singing:   Two little dogs, two little dogs, Run quickly, run quickly. One has no ears, one has  no tail, Very strange, very strange.   When she was singing, the doggies jumped up and down with their great joy.   She is amazing! There is always laughter around us when she is around.     “Hua Hua! Hua Hua! Dinner is ready!”, shouted my grandmother.   Hi, I have to go….. Tell you more next time! Talk to you soon!

翼马 

城堡矗立在远处,

被浓雾笼罩。

它看起来如此凄凉和沉闷,

但也有一种奇怪的神秘感。

当你到达那里后，你会发现什么？

The Winged Horse

 The castle stands far away

Surrounded by a thick mist.

It looks so bleak and dreary

but there is a strange feeling of mystery too.

 

What will you find when you get there?

It is hard to tell

The Prince of Darkness, Werewolves,

perhaps The Mummy's Tomb.

 

Thoughts in your mind as you approach the HUGE wooden door.

Do you really want to go inside?

You don't, but, you do.

 

The door creaks open

You enter.

What a sight to behold.

Everything is in sparkling white

 

At first it is difficult to adjust your eyes.

Something moved, you think, yes

it moved again, but what?

 

Then you see him, really see him

for the very first time

You stare in wonder at the magnificent

Sight before your very eyes.

 

He walks very slowly towards you.

Is this a dream? No

He's right in front of you now.

If you reach out to him will he disappear?

No, he's still there.

 

 

"Reach out your hand to me"

You can hear him silently plead.

"I want to be a part of you,

as you want to be a part of me"

 

You reach out and stroke his mane

a tear comes to his eyes

You bury your face in his neck

The feeling of love is so strong

you NEVER want to part.

 

But so soon you have to leave this

wondrous creature behind.

You will never forget and always

cherish that day as long as

you shall live

 

Those short, but wonderful moments

you spent with The most BEAUTIFUL,
